As I review the men's club weekly play I have noticed a fair
amount of WD (withdrawals) and some rounds have not been posted. I understand when your round is going
south and you feel that you have no chance of winning anything you don't want
to keep hacking away and you are only going to post your ESC (Equitable Stroke Control)
number anyway. Just have the score
card marked WD in the NET area of the score card. This lets the tournament chairman know that you withdrew
from the round.
HOWEVER, you still need to post your round!
If you play the entire round you just post your ESC score,
but if you donŐt complete the round you need to use the following formula;
If 13 holes
are played an 18 hole scored must be posted with the unplayed holes calculated
at net par, and if 7 to 12 holes are played then you must post the first 9
holes. Net par is also referred to as par plus. Example, if an unplayed hole is a par 4 and your handicap for that hole is 2 you
score 6, if your handicap for that hole is 1 then you score 5.
Remember,
if you ever have any questions or problems with posting don't hesitate to
