Temeku Hills Local Rules
Current USGA rules govern
all play with the exception of the following:
OUT OF BOUNDS - Homeowners fences, maintenance yard walls and
public roads define the course boundary.
A ball, which crosses a public road and comes to rest beyond that road
is out of bonds even though it may come to rest on another part of the course.
A ball coming to rest over the green and behind the cart path on Hole 5 is out
of bounds. A ball coming to rest
over the green and behind the protective fence on Hole 18 is out of
bounds. A ball coming to rest in
the tunnel between Hole 10 and Hole 11 is out of bounds. Proceed under Rule 27-1, Stroke &
Distance, Ball Out of Bounds
IMMOVABLE OBSTRUCTIONS - Concrete water housings, block or rock retaining
walls, and power poles. Proceed under
Rule 24-2, drop within one club length no nearer the hole, without penalty.
IMMOVABLE OBSTRUCTIONS - Concrete drainage channels. Proceed under Rule 24-2, drop within
one club length no nearer the hole from point of entry. It must be Virtually Certain (or Known)
the ball is in the channel otherwise Proceed under Rule27-1, Stroke &
Distance, Ball Not Found.
POWER LINES - A ball which strikes an overhead power line MUST be replayed, without penalty.
WOOD PILINGS - Are integral part of the golf course. No relief without penalty.
FRENCH DRAINS - The player must lift the ball and drop it, without
penalty, within one club length of and not nearer the hole at the nearest point
of relief.
LATERAL HAZARDS - Defined by RED stakes. Hole 5 - Bushes on right side from tee to fairway water is a
lateral hazard. Proceed under Rule
26-1.
WATER HAZARDS - Defined by Yellow stakes. Proceed under Rule 26-1.
EMBEDDED BALL - "Through the Green", Dropped as near as
possible to the spot where the ball lay but no nearer the hole, without
penalty.
GROUND UNDER REPAIR - Are areas marked with solid or broken white
lines. The player must lift the
ball and drop it, without penalty, within one club length of and not nearer the
hole at the nearest point of relief.
GREEN SIDE, FAIRWAY & WASTE
BUNKERS - Due to the
conditions of these hazards, if a player's ball come to rest on an eroded area,
vegetation or near a loose impediment (within intended swing), the player MAY take
relief by lift, clean and place, without penalty, within one club length of and
not nearer the hole at the nearest point of relief.
