Team Play

We've just completed our team play matches for the month of August.  First of all, was our annual match against Redhawk men's club.  After tying the first round at our course, we smoked'um at their home course in the second round 23-13.  Even a defection to the dark side by Ron Frederick couldn't help them. 

We enjoy the friendly rivalry and after getting our butts kicked last year and having to tolerate a year of beer and bragging, this is sweet.  The trophy will be in our house until next year's matches.

Speaking of tolerating, we appreciate their sportsmanship and tolerance of our after match hoopla's.  We're loud when we lose and even louder when we win.

We played our 6^th Temecula Valley league match August 12 at Canyon Lake against Temecula Creek Inn.  We won 23-13 as well in this match and it was our third straight win after starting out with three losses. We've gone from last to fourth with these wins.  Not coincidentally, we won 9 of 12 team points and that is the key to giving us the best chance to win these matches.

Denny Phifer and Lee Loudenback have stepped up in these recent matches.  Denny won both of his matches against Redhawk and his TVGL match. Lee shot a net 62 against Temecula Creek.  Good Stuff!!!

Our next summer league play is September 16 against Menifee Lakes.  Will keep you posted.
